I am very lucky. I have a wonderful husband whom I love and adore. I would do anything for and he would do anything for me. I have the most beautiful little boy I have ever seen (ok may be biased here). I have a home that meets my needs and some of my wants. I have 2 vehicles sitting in my driveway that I can and do drive. I stay at home with my son and teach him my and my husbands opinions and even school work. I am blessed. I am truly blessed.
My son woke me up this morning, much like he does every morning. He cannon balls into the bed, crawls up to me, hugs me and says "Good morning mommy, time to get up." That gets me smiling every morning.
We did our normal morning routine, me showering, then him having a bath. While he's in the bath, I'm making breakfast. This morning was waffles and yogurt. Then we started his writing in which he wrote his first fan letter to his favorite "character" he doesn't know the difference in an actor and character. Then he had his hour of play-time and I had my hour of playtime (facebook) We had lunch, a treat since we don't eat red meat......cheeseburgers and salad. You should have seen his saucer sized eyes when he realized he was getting to eat a hamburger. He was thrilled, devoured it before I had a chance to settle down to eat. He had his salad and most kids would have asked for fries or another burger. But my son asked me for a banana. Proof that we eat healthy around here. Nap time came and went and we were back ready to face the afternoon. He had a reading lesson, a math lesson, another writing lesson and then free time. We got him ready for karate where he had a blast! And received more clothes from a little boy not much older than him. He had so much fun going through the clothes finding new shoes was amazing to him. God does provide. He needed shoes and God provided them. I sat down laughing when I started this entry. He wanted to put on a pair of his new pajamas he got today, so I told him to go ahead. Not 5 minutes later my little exhibitionist comes streaking out laughing. I said "David, go put on some clothes." He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me, so confused and said, "Why, where are we going?" I'm sorry but I had to giggle a little. "Nowhere, but you still need clothes silly." How funny the little mind works. He tricked me! Life with him is so fun. Now, he's eating his peanut butter and jelly sandwich, drinking his milk, laughing because he's learned how to blow bubbles in his milk.
My thoughts: Live a little. Smile. Life is so much fun if you let it be. God will provide your NEEDS and you wants? Well, leave them at the door.
